What's Our Hero Doing?

Hans wakes up as a minor character in Vantablack Ring, a game he's cleared countless times. To survive the monster attack, he decides to stick close to the hero, Kadith, only to see him immediately killed in battle. Shocked, Hans sets out to find the other heroes... but soon learns that the same fate awaits every one of them and that he seems to be absorbing their abilities. With his plans to lay low gone awry, will Hans have to become the hero and save this world himself?
