This serves as the sequel to the beloved Kindaichi Case Files franchise, taking place two decades after the original version! Hajime, once a student detective, now finds himself as a struggling office worker, burdened with the daily tribulations of adulthood. No longer desiring to solve mysteries, he keeps a low profile and attempts to navigate his daily work life as inconspicuously as possible.

However, crime never rests, and it doesn't take long before Kindaichi becomes entangled in cases that unfold in his vicinity. As the new series unfolds, we return to Uta Island, as the Opera House Murder Case resurfaces for its fourth iteration. This time, the Phantom of the Opera schemes a sinister and blood-soaked revenge.
